Schedule

Everything happens at Toshali Sands unless we say otherwise.

Friday 20th November

  1. 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm

    Sangeet Samaroh

Wear whatever makes you feel great, and bring your dancing shoes

An evening of performances and laughter, followed by an open dance floor for everyone to let loose. Sherwani, sharp suit, cocktail dress or traditional wear, it’s your call.

  2. Midnight onwards

    The After-Party

    Pyjamas and comfort first

We move the party indoors for a completely casual, anything-goes dance jam into the early hours. Ditch the jackets, kick off the heels, change into your comfiest clothes. Just bring the energy.

Saturday 21st November

  1. 10 am to 12 pm

    Phoolon ki Holi

Light Indian wear in whites or pastels. Sunglasses a must.

Holi, but with flowers. A morning of petals, music and colour to shake off the night before.

  2. 12 pm to 3 pm

    Pool Party & Lunch

Swimwear and breezy resort wear. Sunglasses still a must.

Cool off by the pool, eat well, and recharge before the big evening.

  3. 6 pm onwards

    Baraat, Reception & Wedding Ceremony

    Indian ethnic wear

The big one. Dance in with the baraat, celebrate with us through the evening, and be there as we tie the knot.

Travel

Puri is well connected by air, rail and road.

By air

The nearest airport is Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar (BBI). It’s about 60 km, or 1 hr 30 min by road, to Toshali Sands.

Pre-book a cab on MakeMyTrip to skip the wait and the Uber surge at arrivals.

Shuttles: we’re looking at running shuttles from the airport at set times. More info soon.

Add your arrival details to your RSVP so we can plan around you.

By train

Bhubaneswar is still the best route. Direct trains to Puri from Bengaluru run only on certain days and take around 36 hours.

The Duronto gets you from Bengaluru to Bhubaneswar in about 22 hours, well in time for the festivities. The silver lining to the long ride: the second half runs through the Eastern Ghats and alongside Chilika Lake in the early morning.

Getting around

Rapido is the quickest way to book local rides. Uber is the go-to for longer trips.

Recommended Spots

Tick a couple of places off your bucket list, and maybe discover a few you didn’t know about.

Shree Jagannath Temple

8 km from the resort, 20 to 30 min

One of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites and home of the famous Rath Yatra. This 12th-century temple is instantly recognisable.

Plan carefully: Saturdays are very crowded, and the VIP queue keeps the wait to about an hour. Only Hindus are allowed inside, and phones, cameras and leather items have to be left outside.

Sun Temple, Konark

27 km from the resort, 35 to 40 min

A breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site shaped like a giant stone chariot for Surya, the sun god. Come for the 13th-century carvings, the massive chariot wheels and the stunning Kalinga architecture.

Blue Flag Beach

9 km from the resort, 20 to 30 min

Close to the Jagannath Temple, this pristine beach is known for its gentle waves and its cleanliness (no, really!).

It opens at 5 am. The best vibes are at sunrise and early morning.

Q&A

Got a question? It might already be answered here.

When’s the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by 15th October at the latest so we can get an accurate headcount.

What are the check-in and check-out timings?

Check-in is at 10 am. Check-out is at 8 am, extendable till 9 am.

Can I get early check-in or late check-out?

It’s wedding season, so changes are always a little difficult. There may be some flexibility if you get in touch with the hotel in advance.

What will the weather be like?

Lovely. Late November in Puri is usually between 20°C and 28°C with almost no rain. Being on the coast, it’s a little humid but should feel cool.

A couple of events run outdoors into the night and can get breezy, though rarely chilly.

What should I wear?

Check the Schedule for each event. In general the dress code is relaxed, and your comfort comes first.

Which shoes should I wear (or avoid)?

Ladies, best to give the stilettos a miss. Honestly! There are plenty of grassy and uneven spots, so block heels or sandals are a better bet. We don’t want anyone ruining their shoes or turning an ankle.

Are the ceremony and reception spaces wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We’ll also have a couple of buggies on hand for anyone who needs a lift around the venue.

Where can I park?

There’s ample parking at the venue, a short walk from the main complex.
